The Market Authorization (MA) is an agreement given by the holder of exploitation rights to a manufactured medecine in order to market it.
This kind of procedure exists for both human medicine and veterinary medicine, for which there is generally an agency and a different process.
When a pharmaceutical laboratory wants to sell an health product (medicine, analysis product, etc), they have to submit a file to the relevant authority.
For each medical indication we will evaluate the therapeutic effectiveness compared with medicine and illness. This is normally designated as "benefit / risk ratio".
Relevant authorities that deliver the AMM always study the proposed prices. If these prices are considered too high, they will have to be revised downwards to allow access to maximum persons.
An AMM withdrawal can be requested, either directly by the laboratory or by the Health Department in case of side effects findings in the long-range as part of a pharmacovigilance that would lead to an unfavorable benefit-risk ratio.
